When creating an account, you'll provide basic details such as:Display name, username, password, phone number, and preferred display language.Your profile information (username, display name) is publicly visible, and you can choose to use your real name or a pseudonym.

We Collect During UsageWe also collect information about how you use Manta, which helps us improve our services and ensure your experience is tailored to you.

Usage Information: This includes your interactions with content, messages with others, chat content with Manta AI, and links you click on.

Inferred Identity: We may link information like your device or phone number to your account.

Log Information: This includes IP addresses, operating system, device info, and interaction logs.

Device and Location Data: We collect data from your mobile device. Examples of such data include: language settings, IP address, time zone, type and model of a device, device settings, operating system, Internet service provider, mobile carrier, and hardware ID.

Advertising IDs: We collect your Apple Identifier for Advertising ("IDFA") or Google Advertising ID ("GAID") (depending on the operating system of your device). You can typically reset these numbers through the settings of your device’s operating system (but we do not control this).

2.How We Use Your Information

Here’s how we use the information we collect:

We communicate with you, for example, by push notifications. These may include reminders and update messages or other information about the App. As a result, for example, you may receive a push notification from new messages. To opt out of receiving push notifications, you need to change the settings on your device.

2.5 Research

Your information may be used for research, testing, or troubleshooting to improve Manta.

3.Data Retention

We store information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and ensure security. For example:

Account Information: Retained as long as your account is active.

Usage Information: Retained as long as needed or until deleted by you.

Communication Logs: Retained for up to 18 months.

Device and Log Information: Retained for up to 13 months. In certain cases, we may retain data longer for legal or safety reasons.

4.Your Control Over Information4.1 Access, Correction, and Portability

You can edit your profile to update or correct your information. We may require identity verification before processing any requests.

4.2 Deleting Your Information

If you delete your account, your profile and data will be queued for deletion and no longer visible on Manta.

4.3 Authorized Agent RequestsIf you're an authorized agent, you can request data access or deletion on behalf of someone else by contacting us. Verification may be required.

We share information with third parties that help us operate, provide, improve, integrate, customize, support, and market our services. We may share some sets of personal data, in particular for the purposes indicated in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy. The third parties we share information with typically include service providers such as cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, and marketing partners.

While Manta is available globally, we ensure our services comply with applicable local regulations.

Manta processes your data based on legal grounds such as your consent, the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests. Manta does not sell your personal information.

7.Audience and Age Restrictions

Manta is not intended for users under 18. If a minor's data is collected without parental consent, please contact us, and we will take immediate action.
